FOR ACCOUNTANTS AND BOOKKEEPERS

Your trade clients' books, kept by the app, ready for April 2027

Making Tax Digital reaches sole traders over £30,000 on 6 April 2027. The app keeps your trade clients' digital records and quarterly figures in one place as they work, so you get clean numbers instead of a bag of receipts. Recommend it and earn 30% for each customer's first 12 months, then 20% for life.

What the app does for your clients

The books get kept where the work happens: on the van, on site, the moment the invoice goes out.

Income recorded from invoices

Every invoice your client sends from the app is logged as income, dated and totalled.

Receipts captured on site

A photo of a receipt becomes an expense, filed by AI under the matching HMRC category for you to review.

Cumulative quarterly figures

Worked out in the format HMRC's Making Tax Digital quarterly updates use, with a CSV download for you each quarter.

Deadlines they can see

The Accounting tab shows the next quarterly deadline and how many days are left.

The same app quotes, invoices and runs their jobs. See the accounting features.

What isn't built yet

So you know exactly what you're recommending.

No accountant view yet

There's no practice dashboard or read-only login for accountants today. Your client downloads the quarterly CSV from the app and sends it to you.

No filing to HMRC yet

Filing from the app is built and tested in HMRC's sandbox but is not yet available: HMRC closed production access for new 2026-27 products on 15 September 2026. Until it is, you or your accountant send the figures through HMRC-recognised software.

Sole traders, not companies

The accounting side is built for sole traders. VAT returns and limited companies aren't covered yet.

What partners earn

The same published terms as every affiliate.

30% for 12 months

Of everything each customer you refer pays in their first year of paid subscription.

Then 20% for life

For as long as they stay subscribed. No cap.

Gold: 30% for life

Once 25 or more of your referred customers are paying at the same time.

  • Monthly payouts by bank transfer
  • Minimum payout £20 / $25 / €25
  • 90-day link attribution, or clients enter your promo code
  • Commission confirmed 45 days after each payment
Monthly, after 1 year
£540
Total in year one
£3,509
Monthly, after 2 years
£1,080

You'd reach Gold (25 paying customers) in month 5, and every customer then earns you 30% while you stay at Gold. Estimate only. It uses the advertised price and assumes every customer stays subscribed. Commission is calculated excluding VAT and sales tax, so it's lower where tax applies.

Partner questions

How much do accounting partners earn?

30% of everything a client you refer pays for their first 12 months of paid subscription, then 20% for as long as they stay subscribed. Once 25 or more of your referred customers are paying at the same time you reach Gold and earn 30% on all of them for life. Commission is worked out on what the customer pays, excluding VAT, and after app store fees for subscriptions bought in the iPhone app.

How and when are partners paid?

Commission is confirmed 45 days after each payment, so refunds can be handled, and paid monthly by bank transfer once your balance reaches the minimum payout (£20 / $25 / €25).

Is there a read-only view for accountants?

Not yet, and we won't pretend otherwise. Today your client downloads their quarterly figures as a CSV from the Accounting tab and sends them to you.

Does the app submit quarterly updates to HMRC?

Not yet. The app keeps the digital records and prepares the cumulative quarterly figures. Filing from the app is built and tested in HMRC's sandbox but is not yet available: HMRC closed production access for new 2026-27 products on 15 September 2026. Until it is, you or your accountant send the figures through HMRC-recognised software.

Which clients is it for?

Sole trader tradespeople: plumbers, electricians, builders, roofers, decorators and every other trade. From 6 April 2027, Making Tax Digital for Income Tax covers sole traders and landlords whose 2025-26 qualifying income (turnover plus rent, before expenses) was over £30,000.

Can I refer clients who already use the app?

No. Under the affiliate terms, existing customers and people who already have an account can't be referred. Commission is for new customers who sign up through your link or code.

What does it cost my clients?

They can start free with no card. The accounting features (income, expenses, receipts and quarterly figures) are included in every paid plan.
