Affiliate program terms

1. Who we are

These terms are between you and Sleepless Tradesman Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17538029), whose registered office is Atlantic Highway Service, Stratton, Bude EX23 9JY ("we", "us").
By applying to or taking part in the affiliate program you agree to these terms. We may update them by giving you 30 days' notice by email. Changes never reduce commission already confirmed.

The program is free to join. We review applications by hand and may accept or decline any application without giving a reason.
You must be at least 18 and give accurate details, including the tax and payment information our payout provider asks for. We cannot accept or pay affiliates who are resident in, or who promote to, countries under UK or US comprehensive sanctions, or anyone on a sanctions list.

For each new customer who signs up through your link or promo code and becomes a paying subscriber, you earn 30% of what they pay for their first 12 months of paid subscription, and 20% of what they pay after that for as long as they stay subscribed.
Once 25 or more of your referred customers are paying at the same time (Gold), you earn 30% on all of your customers' payments while you remain at Gold.
Commission is calculated on the amount the customer actually pays, excluding VAT and sales taxes, after discounts, and after app store fees for subscriptions bought through Apple or Google.
A customer is yours if they sign up within the attribution window after clicking your link, or enter your promo code at signup. If several affiliates refer the same person, the one whose link or code was used at signup gets the commission. Once a customer has signed up, the attribution is fixed.
The attribution window is 90 days. Existing customers, or people who already have an account, cannot be referred.

Commission is held for 45 days after each customer payment and then confirmed. If the payment is refunded, charged back or found to be fraudulent, the commission on it is cancelled, and if it was already paid we deduct it from your future commission.
Confirmed commission is paid monthly once your balance reaches the minimum payout (£20 / $25 / €25, or the equivalent in your currency). Payments are made through our payout provider in your local currency where available. Transfer and currency conversion fees charged by the provider may apply.
You are responsible for your own taxes. If you are registered for VAT or a similar tax, you must tell us so commission can be invoiced correctly.

You must clearly label anything you publish that contains your link or code as an advert, for example with "Ad" or "#ad" at the start, as the UK CAP Code and the US FTC require. Saying "in collaboration with" or putting it only in your bio is not enough.
You must describe Sleepless Tradesman honestly. Don't make claims about earnings, savings or features that we don't make ourselves, and don't present yourself as us or as acting for us.

Bidding on "Sleepless Tradesman" or close variations in paid search, or registering domains, social handles or app names that include our brand.
Unsolicited email, SMS or direct messages, and posting your link in forums, groups or comment sections where self-promotion is not allowed.
Signing yourself, your business or your household up through your own link, or creating accounts to earn commission.
Offering cash, gifts or other rewards for signing up, or for leaving ratings or reviews, including App Store reviews.
Cookie stuffing, forced clicks, ad injection, incentivised traffic, or any other way of claiming customers you didn't genuinely refer.
Promoting us next to content that is illegal, hateful, sexual or misleading.

You can leave at any time. We can end your participation at any time with 14 days' notice, or immediately if you break these terms.
If we end it because you broke these terms, unpaid commission is forfeited. Otherwise we pay confirmed commission that reaches the minimum payout, and commission stops on the date the agreement ends.

You are an independent contractor. Nothing in these terms makes you our employee, agent or partner in law.
Our total liability to you under these terms is limited to the commission you earned in the 12 months before the claim.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
