Sleepless Tradesman is an AI-powered business assistant built specifically for tradespeople. It helps you plan jobs, generate professional quotes and invoices, check regulatory compliance, analyse job-site photos, and look up material prices — all from a simple chat conversation.

It is designed for any tradesperson — builders, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, roofers, painters, HVAC technicians, tilers, landscapers, general contractors, plasterers, bricklayers, locksmiths, glaziers, welders, and flooring specialists. Whether you are a sole trader or run a small team, the app adapts to your trade.

Not at all. The entire experience is a simple chat conversation. Just describe the job in your own words and the AI does the rest — creating plans, quotes, and invoices for you.

The app is available worldwide. We have full localisation — including local regulations, currency, and terminology — for the United Kingdom, United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, Germany, France, United Arab Emirates, India, South Africa, Singapore, and Brazil. Users in other countries can still use the app with international defaults.

The AI assistant can respond in English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Arabic. Your preferred language is set during onboarding or in Settings.

The AI assistant has seven core capabilities:

1. Job Planning — generates step-by-step plans, material lists, and time estimates from a description of the work.

2. Smart Quoting — creates professional, itemised quotes with labour, materials, VAT/tax breakdowns, and client details.

3. Invoicing — generates branded invoices from completed work or accepted quotes, with payment terms and due dates.

4. Photo Analysis — you can upload job-site photos and the AI will assess the work, suggest materials, and refine cost estimates.

5. Material Price Lookup — searches live supplier pricing so your quotes use up-to-date costs.

6. Regulation Compliance — proactively flags relevant building regulations, safety standards, and certification requirements for your country and trade.

7. Amendments — edit and update quotes and invoices through conversation, no need to manually re-create them.

Simply describe the job to the AI — for example, "I need to install three internal doors and a composite front door." The AI will ask clarifying questions, then produce a detailed plan with steps, estimated time, materials needed, and an indicative cost breakdown.

Yes. You can upload photos directly in the chat. The AI analyses the images to assess the scope of work, identify materials, spot potential issues, and provide more accurate estimates.

Yes. The AI proactively flags relevant regulations for your country and trade. For example, it will reference Part P (Electrical Safety) in the UK, NEC codes in the US, or AS/NZS standards in Australia. It always reminds you to verify with your local authority, as AI guidance does not replace professional legal or regulatory advice.

Yes, on the Premium plan. The AI can search the web for current material prices from suppliers, so your quotes reflect real-world costs rather than rough estimates.

The AI generates fully branded PDF invoices with your company logo, business name, address, and contact details. You can choose from four distinct templates (Classic, Modern, Minimal, and Bold) and eight colour schemes. Invoices include itemised line items, VAT/tax calculations, due dates, and client details.

Yes. In Settings you can choose from four templates and eight colour palettes. A live preview shows you exactly what your documents will look like before you save. Your company logo, name, address, and contact details appear automatically on every document.

Yes. You can start for free with no credit card required. The free plan includes 10 AI messages per month so you can try the assistant before committing to a paid plan.

There are two paid plans:

Starter — includes AI job planning, photo analysis, quotes and invoices, PDF export, and 100 AI messages per month.

Premium — includes everything in Starter plus 500 AI messages per month, unlimited conversations, live web search for material prices, and priority support.

Pricing is localised to your country. For example, in the UK it starts from £29.99/month (Starter) and £59.99/month (Premium). In the US it is $29.99 and $59.99 respectively. You can see exact pricing for your region on the home page.

Yes. If you download the iOS app you can subscribe via Apple In-App Purchase. Subscriptions are billed to your Apple ID and auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can also subscribe through the website using Stripe.

Yes, at any time. For web subscriptions, cancel through the billing settings in your account. For App Store subscriptions, cancel through your Apple ID settings. When you cancel, you retain access until the end of your current billing period.

Partial refunds are not provided for unused portions of a billing period. If you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Tap "Start Free" on the home page and sign in with your Google or Apple account. No passwords to remember — authentication is handled securely through your existing account.

After signing in, a short setup wizard asks for your name, country, trade, business details, logo, and rates. Only your name, country, and trade are required — everything else is optional and can be added later in Settings.

Yes. Everything you enter during onboarding — company name, address, logo, rates, currency, language, invoice template, and colour scheme — can be updated at any time in the Settings page.

Yes. Sleepless Tradesman is available as a native app on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The mobile apps provide the same full experience as the website, optimised for your phone.

The AI features require an internet connection because they are powered by cloud-based AI. However, you can view your previously generated quotes and invoices while offline.

No. The app is lightweight and all heavy processing happens in the cloud. The interface uses efficient CSS-only animations with zero runtime overhead, so it runs smoothly on any device.

Yes. All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption and stored on secure cloud infrastructure with strict access controls. We take data protection seriously.

No. Your personal job data, quotes, invoices, and conversations are never used to train AI models. They are only used to provide the service to you.

No. We never sell your personal data. We only share data with the service providers necessary to run the platform — Anthropic (AI processing), Stripe (payments), and Vercel (hosting).

Yes. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data — including your profile, conversations, quotes, invoices, and memories — from the Settings page in the app. You can also contact us at support@sleeplesstradesman.com.

We collect the information you provide (account details, business profile, job descriptions, quotes, invoices, uploaded photos) and basic usage data. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

The AI provides helpful estimates based on industry knowledge and the details you provide. However, estimates may not perfectly reflect actual costs in your specific area. Always review and adjust figures before sending to clients.

The AI flags relevant regulations as helpful guidance, but it is not a substitute for professional legal or regulatory advice. Always verify compliance requirements with your local authority or a qualified professional.

No. The AI is a productivity tool to help you work faster and more professionally. It does not replace qualified surveyors, architects, engineers, or legal advisors.

Every user gets a unique referral link in Settings. When someone signs up and subscribes using your link, you earn 10% commission on each of their payments. If your referral also refers someone, you earn an additional 5% on those payments (two-tier system).

Go to Settings and open the Referrals section. You can copy your unique link or display a QR code for someone to scan.
