Yes — if your renovation involves moving or connecting a gas hob, gas oven, or gas supply pipes, the work must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Kitchen fitters can do the carpentry and fitting work, but gas connections must be signed off by a Gas Safe engineer.
