Plenty of tradespeople run more than one business. A heating company and a plumbing outfit. A grafting solo brand and a limited company for bigger contracts. Two firms covering the same patch with different names on the van.

Until now, Sleepless Tradesman assumed you had one company — one logo, one set of details, on every quote and invoice you sent. That changes today.

Dual Business Profiles let you add a second (or third) company to your account and choose which one each job belongs to. The right logo, company name, address, and VAT details automatically appear on that job's quotes, invoices, and PDFs — and your AI assistant talks to customers as that company too.

Setting Up Your Second Company

You only need to do this once.

Step 1: Open Business Profiles in Settings

Go to Dashboard → Settings and scroll to the new Business Profiles section, just below your main Business Details.

Step 2: Add your company

Tap + Add Business Profile and fill in the details for your second company:

Company name — the only required field
Logo — upload it just like your main logo; it will appear on this company's documents
Trade — pick one if this company does different work to your main trade (a heating firm alongside an electrical firm, for example). Leave it on "Same as my main trade" if both companies do the same work.
Address, phone, and email — whatever should appear on this company's paperwork
VAT / tax registration — each company keeps its own VAT number, or can be marked not VAT registered

Step 3: Save

Hit Save Profile and you're done. You can come back and edit or remove it any time.

Using It Day to Day

Once you have a second profile, starting a job looks slightly different — in a good way.

When you tap + New Job, you'll see a new question at the top: "Which company is this job for?" Your companies are listed with their logos. Pick one, start the chat, and everything about that job follows your choice:

Quotes and invoices carry that company's logo, name, address, contact details, and VAT status — on screen, on the PDF, and in anything you share with the customer.
Your AI assistant works as that company. If the second profile has its own trade, the assistant quotes and advises as that trade.
Remote quotes show your customer the right company name and logo when they open the link you send them.

Jobs where you pick your main company work exactly as they always have. If you never add a second profile, nothing changes at all — no extra questions, no clutter.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many business profiles can I add?

Up to five, on top of your main company. Most people running two firms only need one extra.

Does each company get its own quote numbers?

Quote and invoice numbers currently run in one sequence across your account, so numbering stays simple and gap-free. Each document still shows the correct company branding.

What happens to old jobs if I delete a business profile?

Nothing breaks. Existing jobs, quotes, and invoices are kept, and they simply fall back to your main company's details.

Can I switch a job to a different company after creating it?

Not yet — the company is chosen when you create the job. If you picked the wrong one, create a new job under the right company. Job switching is on our list.

Is this available on the mobile app?

Yes. Dual Business Profiles work everywhere Sleepless Tradesman does — web, iOS, and Android.
